All social evils world over, like drug addiction, orphanhood, destitution, depression are nothing but effects. The CAUSE of which is ignorance and lack of right knowledge.

Let’s work to remove the

through right knowledge, rather than fighting the effects.

CHYK announces the launch of the second batch of YUVA VEER - Youth Empowerment Program (YEP)

Our three level program

  • Learn
  • Serve
  • Grow

LEARN:

During the first four months of the course:

  • Training would be imparted to handle workshop on various subjects like attitude management, time management, stress management and many more.
  • Exposure to select portions of the Bhagawad Gita and other philosophical books.
  • Elementary Sanskrit knowledge enabling one to read, write and speak.
  • Training by monks of Chinmaya Mission and other visiting faculties from different fields.

51 youth from across India, Australia, Indonesia and Singapore, successfully completed the first Yuva Veer Course which started during September 2003.

SERVE:

On successful completion of the course the Yuva Veers

  • Are expected to serve India for 20 months
  • Will be posted at different centres across the nation during this period
  • Will work with the youth from schools and colleges conducting workshops, seminars, talks and counselling sessions, etc.

During their period of service, the Yuva Veers will be supported by the Chinmaya Mission.

GROW:

The Yuva Veers on completing their total period of study and service (spanning 2 years) will be equipped with:

  • Self confidence.
  • Excellent communication skills. Expertise in conducting workshops and similar training programs.
  • A sense of satisfaction and joy of serving the nation

At the end of the stipulated period of two years of service, based on one’s qualification, placements would be offered in various corporate organisations.

Additional Information/Instructions:

The residential course will be held at Chinmaya Mission Ashram at Tamaraipakkam, near Chennai.

Students will not be allowed to take leave during the training period of 4 months.

Filled application form must be sent with:

  • DD for Rs.50/- in favour of “All India Chinmaya Yuva Kendra” (towards incidental charges)
  • A self addressed envelope with Rs.5/- stamp pasted on it.
